Miramax Gets Heart
After a highly successful series of world premiere screenings at the 30th annual Toronto International Film
Festival, Miramax acquired the North American rights to The Heart of the Game.
"This is a dream come true," says Director Ward Serrill. "Seven years ago when I walked into a girls' high
school gym with my little video camera, there is no way I could envision anything like this. I am beyond thrilled.
To think that millions of people are going to see this story."
While no schedule has been set, expectations are the film will be released in theaters by early summer 2006.
